Jennifer Hasler's ECE 4011 / 4012 Group Advisement

I have advised ECE Senior Design Projects starting in 2012 / 2013 school year, and I have continued every year ever since.

A few things to say for every design team that I advise:

• I am your advisor and council, not your Boss or your Program Manager. Your team will learn how to perform these functions from within the skillset of your team. After a few weeks, these positions will be fairly clear, and will remain stable throughout the project.
• Those coordinating 4011 / 4012 tell those of us advising teams nearly nothing. Don't assume I know about deadlines, or heard anything in class. If I know something specific, it is because I learned it from one of my other teams.
• I will require knowing your course schedule during the two semesters. Your schedule gives a sense of scheduling for this semester, as well as it gives me a sense of what everyone is taking / skills.
• Group oral presentations: One important aspect is that each team need to have an oral presentation to people other than your group and me. Therefore, I will have these presentations
